A question for those with school-aged children...

Please can you tell me whether the 3pm to 3:20pm torrential micro-climate exists only over our school, or whether it's a national/international phenomenon....?

It was the first day back at school for My Boy today - if you're so inclined, you can read some of my musings about it at Natural Mamas Blog

In grateful (and soggy) anticipation of your comments,

P.S. There is only one week left to enter the Ghoulish Giveaway, so don't forget to leave your comments on the Giveaway post if you'd like to be in with a chance to win!!!!

  1. No, it happens here too! The sky will be completely clear till you step out of the door and then - whoosh! I am hoping to ditch my car for some of the school runs this year. As mine are getting a bit older they should be able to manage the walk now. We live out of catchment area and I have noticed my petrol costs creeping up (plus my waist measurement!). I'm going to meet the rain head on and invest in some decent waterproofs.

  2. yes it happens here too sunny Queensland.

  3. Ummm, sorry, it's just your area. Blue skies abound here. I am very sorry, no really, I am. smirk.

  4. Yes, happens here too. It's quicker for us to walk than to drive so even when it's pouring down we have to brave the wet! What makes it worse is I'm doing three runs a day so I spend most of the day either out in the rain or trying to get dry!

thats not fair!!! Murphys law or something like that?

  6. I am relieved that it's not just here - I was wondering whether it was some kind of karmic retribution! :)

And ladies, you'd better get your wellies at the ready - only another 1.5 hours to go!
