Sometimes you just want the fix of a satisfying little project, and that's generally when I turn to crochet. Last weekend, I grabbed two colours of Scheepjes Sunkissed, a 3.5 mm crochet hook and got to it. This cute little purse was finished within a few hours... but it took until today to get some buttons.
I originally wanted black and white, but shipping was prohibitive and I haven't left the village this week to get any. Finally, inspired by the Mothers' Day flowers that are enjoying their final moments of glory, these purple buttons were rescued from a charity shop tin for 10p each and will serve as a nice reminder of the weekend it was made. If anyone would like to make some of these, let me know. It is a super simple construction and I can post the instructions.
This weekend we are visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour, I'm hoping I won't have to drive to I can get on with another little project. Wish me luck! Oh and before I go, if you read Inside Crochet, check out page 10 of the new issue (issue 88) - you might just see a familiar face!
That's a cute little purse - I'd love to know how to make one 😄

Ok Rachael, I'll write the instructions up next week. And I've been asked for a knit version too :)
DeleteHave a fab time at the Studio Tour, we wet about 4 years ago and had THE BEST DAY OUT EVER! (not even kidding) This little purse is super cute too, these buttons are perfect.
ReplyDelete*went (why do I never check before I hit publish?)
DeleteIt's darling! But mostly with those Purple buttons :) I wish you had access to my HUGE button stash and a shame postage is so much. Looking forward to either pattern.
