YOP Update #22: Steadily busting it!

With less than two months until the end of the second Year of Projects, this update is long overdue. Since my last post, I've been making some stashbusting progress with three current projects and two already completed. Of course, this has made way for some newer aquisitions so it's working out very well.
Year of projects update
1. Whiippoorwill in Kauni EQ Rainbow gradient - hibernating
2. Hitchhiker in Regia World College 6 Ply - cast on this weekend
3. Vanilla socks in Araucania Ranco Multi - current handbag project
4. "Déjà Vu" Vanilla socks in Stash Addict sock yarn
5. Bowl Jumper in Patons Silenzio Chunky

I'm already wondering what will come after this (will there be a 3rd YoP?). I seem to have managed quite a lot of  progress this year despite infrequent updates. You can see my summary is hereI feel like a new challenge is in order from July - perhaps 12 patterns from a particular book, or a dozen pairs of socks, or something else I haven't thought of yet. What would you do?
Before I go, a little reminder of the Crochet at Play book & yarn giveaway (which ends next Sunday 12th May) and the Roterfaden discount (for the first 20 readers to use the code). See you tomorrow!

  1. I've heard of folks making a yarn bowl, but never saw any I liked...your's is awesome. I have way to much yarn for such a sweet bowl, but still....might have to put that on the list. The colors in your hitchiker....fabulous. I keep saying I'm going to make that scarf for myself and never get around to it. I love garter stitch, I find it relaxing.

  4. Have you used the shawl yet? How do you like the yarn? I touch the big balls of Kauni each time I'm in the LYS and it feels a bit scratchy to me.
If there's a third YOP, I will join to get me focused on the things I want to make myself.

  5. Holy Moses! Those are some of the most beautiful colors of yarn I've ever seen, all in one post. I keep seeing this hitchhikers around and they are lovely. One of these days I'll have to cast on my own!

  7. You have great projects! I wish I could take part in the YoP but I like being spontaneous with projects, instead of setting myself projects to do :)
