Crocheting using Deramores Baby DK - new bag recipe & yarn review coming soon.
There has been very little crafting opportunity since Monday when I made a promising start on a new crochet project and subsequently lost all my notes for the recipe (which now needs rewriting). I also discovered that I had knit TOO MUCH of my Whippoorwill and it was necessary to rip back a few thousand stitches before proceeding with the first row of shaping. With the children on their spring break and a trip away in a few days time it's unlikely that there will be very much more accomplished this week.
I've been dipping in and out of a few books this week including Abby Franquemont's Respect the Spindle - yep, spinning is ANOTHER thing on my list of things to conquer this year! This book was recommended by the ever-helpful folks on my Facebook page (please do come and say hello there if you haven't already) and it contains everything I could possibly need to know, and then some. I'll let you know how I get on.... when I have chance to practice.

ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful colors. I do both crochet and knit as well; it's nice to switch back and forth between the two. :)
ReplyDeleteA FEW THOUSANDS STITCHES? I would not have any hair left!
ReplyDeletePretty colors you are showing. Ripping back takes such concentration; you must be quite patient. Your crochet stitches look just perfect.
