The first of these projects is one of the most fun knits I've made and as it's a stashbuster, also counts as a YoP project. I just love these. Check out the 'matchy-matchy'!

There is a great tutorial that accompanies the pattern which I'd watched many months ago so I just improvised the number of stitches and made the addition of a crochet section over the remote button. If you want the particulars, check out my Ravelry notes.
YES! So glad you posted these. I need to make a lot of them for my insane headphone collection ;) I crocheted a couple of earbuds but they don't look nearly as appealing as these!
ReplyDeletexo,
wink
Aren't they cute!!!! I don't have many earphones but I'm already wondering about what else I can do this to!!!!
DeleteI seem to get addicted to your projects...1st the hexipuff, now these..just this brief post has me wanting to ditch my current needles and start these!
ReplyDeleteWell these only took one afternoon and a bit of an evening - a few hours really - so I'm sure you could just ditch your current WIPs for a day...? *grin*
DeleteOur cats like the tiny wires of the earbuds a lot. This idea might prevent them from being scrunched.
ReplyDeleteYes, it makes them much more sturdy and less tangle-able! :)
DeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI know, I'd never have thought of it, but seeing it ages ago has had it on my mind ever since - very simple and effective.
DeleteI love this idea, showing what can be made using one skein!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's what I was trying to do really, it's easy to just make the one item and consign the rest to the scrap heap but actually there are some nice and useful (not to mention cute) thing they can be used for.
DeleteI keep meaning to make something like those earphone covers, mine get so terribly tangled in my bag! And I think I shall follow your excellent example and utilise some of my leftovers ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely, lovely. In order, from left to right. :) Fabulous job on the yarn, and such cute ways to use up the leftover bits!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Looks fab too. Such a clever way to use up some leftovers : )
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little project :D I'm guessing the cord will be far less likely to kink all wrapped up in it's 'sweater' like that. Nice one :D
ReplyDeleteFabulous!
ReplyDeleteI really should cover my earbuds. I saw someone demo it on pinterest and then promptly forgot about it.
ReplyDeleteI love the match-y match-y! makes me smile!
ReplyDelete**squeal** - I absolutely adore that your projects are matching, they look amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally need to do these ear covers too
That is so clever! What a way to jazz up them white ear buds.
ReplyDeleteWhat is not to love about covering things in gorgeous yarn? Such a lovely idea.
ReplyDeleteThose are incredible, I need some! Thank you for posting the pattern
