With Framlingham awaiting a Friday 'Ta-dah', and a few days before the June Shawl Knitalong starts, I'm taking a little time to wind some scrap yarns and mini-skeins on my nostepinne.... and to make a few little addtions to my Hexipuff pile.
I'm still reading Assassin's Quest (The Farseer Trilogy - Book 3) - discovery of the "text to speech" function on my Kindle has meant I could multi-task a bit more this week, although the electronic voice takes some getting used to. (If you didn't know you could do this and want to give it a try - the instructions are here. )
Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Another ball of multi coloured wool. Nice shades Sarah! Looking forward to hearing about the knitalong!
ReplyDeleteI love the text-to-speech on my Kindle. I recently "upgraded" to the Kindle Fire and guess what, NO text to speech! Now I have 2 books going-the Kindle Fire when I read in bed and the Kindle 3G when I'm crocheting so it can read to me. Husband says the voice on the Kindle sounds like the same voice on the GPS and he expects to hear "turn right in 100 feet."
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny because I thought the same thing!!!! ( I have the lady - she's nice but has problems with the names and placenames in my book!)
DeleteLittle project are lovely, aren't they? :-) June 1 is here soon. I'm looking forward to knitting along.
ReplyDeleteMe too!!!! I need to wind the skeins into balls tonight and then the real excitement can begin! :)
DeleteNo WIPS? What a horrifying notion ;) (for me at least!) - although it sounds very refreshing too, in a clean slate kind of way!
ReplyDeleteAt least you have the puffs, so you're not too bereft (which reminds me, I have some sock yarn scraps hanging around ding nothing, let me know if you want them - I can show you the related projects in case the colours aren't right for you!)

Oh wow - thank you! I have another sock scrap project in mind too, so would welcome any colours you would like to rehome as they could be used for one or the other.

ReplyDeleteIt must be really cool to listen to your kindle talk, unfortunately I have the smaller one which doesn't seem to have text to speech setting..boo! :(
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of your wool there, its very colourful. Can't wait to see your ta-dah!!
