WOWSERS!
We just got home to discover the Pixie Winslet Titanic spoof from last week has made it to the KCBW Photography Competition Final!!!! Thanks so much to everyone who nominated Pixie - she is very excited to be in the final. There are some great photos from some lovely bloggers and every single vote counts so please cast yours here.
As I already finished the Knitalong shawl (see yesterday's post) there is very little to show you in the way of WIPs this week. I cast on another Nellie on Monday night, but it's going to be ripped out again tonight so I didn't photograph it.

Nellie v1 from last year |
When I was looking at my original notes for the first one (I knew some mods would be necessary to prevent the rolling of the front edges), I realised that I chose this pattern to suit Little Miss as a toddler and don't think the style is right for her anymore, so I'll be back to the drawing board Ravelry tonight :) As a cardigan is urgently needed for this chilly weather, and as she has outgrown most other things lately, this is the priority for the rest of the week.
As for my book, I'm still reading and enjoying last week's Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb. My Kindle has some serious competition at the moment, as I've just discovered the Sky Go App for my iPad (it's also available for Android) which enables me to use my Sky TV account to stream Anytime Movies - awesome! I spent last night watching movies in bed.
Thanks again for your votes :)

ReplyDeleteWell done for reaching the final, it is a great photo. That cardigan is very cute but they grow up ever so fast. Mine have really strong opinions about what they will wear, I wouldn't dare make anything for L without her approval!

ReplyDeleteI usually choose a movie over a book, msotly because you can crochet at the same tie :)
