I became ill on Sunday night (again) and in the early hours of yesterday morning an ambulance took me to hospital. After numerous blood tests and scans I had an operation to remove my gallbladder. This afternoon I was allowed home but have to rest for the next week or so - I'm sore, bloated, bruised and my stomach has been glued back together in four places from the keyhole surgery.
Apparently I must have been ill with this for a long time, so I'm quite excited to know how it will feel to be 'better' - hopefully in a few weeks time I can tell you.
Thanks to everyone who has commented on my last few posts and to those who have awarded me with various things - I read all your comments from my hospital bed and they cheered me no end.
I'll be back soon!

Oh I'm glad it was something 'removeable' if you know what I mean... now you can spend many happy hours crocheting...sorry, I mean healing! Give it a while and you will be feeling fab again.. hugs (gentle non-squeezy ones), Jill x

Possibly part of why you've been feeling so tired recently? I'm going to make you cookies next week. I'm making some this week, but they are for me, and me alone.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, much love, hugs and get well vibes to you! xoxox
ReplyDeleteOh dear. You have my sympathy. I had gallstones in my early 20's and the pain was worse than childbirth! Because of my age it took them ages to diagnose me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel loads better now.
hope you feel better soon x
ReplyDeleteNot to LOL, but I had to laugh at your comments. I too, had my gall bladder removed, after many pregnancy test confirmed I was not pregnant. But, my tummy was telling me I was pregnant. I had all the nausea that I experienced during pregnancy. My husband was so happy when they removed the thing. He was tired of my nausea! Hope you are back to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are now on the mend. Keyhole is brilliant, compared to being sliced open. I've had both and much prefer the "you can go home tonight if you want" to the "you must stay in hospital for a week" that open surgery requires.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh...XO to you Sarah. My dad had that surgery and suffered three days of unbearable pain before he relented and went to the ER.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy and baby yourself. You deserve to.
Thinking of you and hoping you have a speedy recovery! Jxo
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses (digital ones, since a real one might hurt pretty bad right no!), get well soon! Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteGosh Sarah, sounds dramatic! I wish you a speedy recovery and a renewed Joie de Vivre around the corner! xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you had to have surgery, but I'm glad they now know what was wrong!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery. Hang in there gurl :)

Oh no! I know how hard it can be to be a mom and be sick. Hang in there and get better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you will get better from now on, its scary how you can be ill with something for a long time and not know.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm glad they were able to figure out the problem and am sending my thoughts for a speedy recovery your way.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling up to knitting again. I am totally in love with the cow picture. There is a thing on Pintrest about a company you can send drawings to and they make your child's drawing into an actual toy! How cool would that cow be? I'll try to find it and link it to you.
ReplyDeleteTake care lovely.
