An unexpected adventure

I became ill on Sunday night (again) and in the early hours of yesterday morning an ambulance took me to hospital. After numerous blood tests and scans I had an operation to remove my gallbladder. This afternoon I was allowed home but have to rest for the next week or so - I'm sore, bloated, bruised and my stomach has been glued back together in four places from the keyhole surgery.

Apparently I must have been ill with this for a long time, so I'm quite excited to know how it will feel to be 'better' - hopefully in a few weeks time I can tell you.

Thanks to everyone who has commented on my last few posts and to those who have awarded me with various things - I read all your comments from my hospital bed and they cheered me no end.

I'll be back soon!

  8. Possibly part of why you've been feeling so tired recently? I'm going to make you cookies next week. I'm making some this week, but they are for me, and me alone.

  10. Oh dear. You have my sympathy. I had gallstones in my early 20's and the pain was worse than childbirth! Because of my age it took them ages to diagnose me.

I hope you feel loads better now.

  11. Not to LOL, but I had to laugh at your comments. I too, had my gall bladder removed, after many pregnancy test confirmed I was not pregnant. But, my tummy was telling me I was pregnant. I had all the nausea that I experienced during pregnancy. My husband was so happy when they removed the thing. He was tired of my nausea! Hope you are back to normal soon.

  12. Glad to hear you are now on the mend. Keyhole is brilliant, compared to being sliced open. I've had both and much prefer the "you can go home tonight if you want" to the "you must stay in hospital for a week" that open surgery requires.

  13. Oh gosh...XO to you Sarah. My dad had that surgery and suffered three days of unbearable pain before he relented and went to the ER.
Take it easy and baby yourself. You deserve to.

  25. Glad you are feeling up to knitting again. I am totally in love with the cow picture. There is a thing on Pintrest about a company you can send drawings to and they make your child's drawing into an actual toy! How cool would that cow be? I'll try to find it and link it to you.
    Take care lovely.
