Hello Lovelies! Just popped in to share some exciting stuff that's given me a little hoppety-skip in my step this afternoon - somehow my family don't quite share my enthusiasm for this stuff. I mentioned the upcoming Love Wool festivities here a while ago and after signing up for the free patterns etc, I received a pack of goodies from them today - check this little lot out!
I can't wait to try some felt-making next week and already have some little projects in mind providing it all goes to plan!
A few days ago someone on the on the CFTC Facebook page very kindly tipped me off to a Julianne Strittmatter doll pattern in the latest issue of Handmade Living magazine which came out today and I managed to find in our little village *faints*. I can't tell you how happy this makes me.
You may know Julianne better as "Froken Skicklig" - her dolls are just amazing! If you haven't seen them already, you can take a looky here. Kiki is a special pattern for Handmade Living and doesn't have the usual awesome 'hair' but I think she would be a welcome addition to our household regardless, and I can't wait to get started when the materials arrive *drums fingers*
(There is a special code for ordering a kit to make her in the magazine too!)
And finally - as if that wasn't enough excitement for one day - I'm going to be launching my first giveaway tomorrow! The items arrived this morning and I know that many of you will love them so keep your eyes peeled for tomorrow's post.
I'll leave you with a few pictures from our day - it's been a funny one in which Little Miss wanted to learn to knit and fancied a "coffee" (don't worry, it's just frothy milk sprinkled with chocolate!)
Until tomorrow ...... Happy Hexipuffing :D
(Oh come on, you MUST be making some by now?!)
xxxxxx
Yes, I have to admit I've been thinking about the hexipuffs. :-) But there is a beautiful Kinston cap to be finished. I have to add the flower (in green). Love it. You can see it on Ravelry (Karlina).
ReplyDeleteA cute photo shoot worthy of a wall!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat thing to sign up for and goodies to receive.
Ooh, the Love Wool goodies look lovely - the feltmaking looks very exciting! Thanks for adding the link to the crochet version of the hexipuffs by the way - I'm now trying to resist the temptation, for a little while at least, lol!
ReplyDeleteThose dolls are awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know I will be coming over to the dark side soon of hexipuffs soon, but I'm prolonging it for as long as I can!
Ooh, exciting! I know what you mean about family just not being quite as enthusiastic about these things...!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you have got me hexipuffing, damn you! ;-)
