Righty ho, after the major photo-fail last night, here's my FINAL Blanket update with all the particulars in one place.
The 'Pattern': It was based on this square throw from Lucy at Attic 24 using Lucy's Summer Garden Granny Square tutorial, and joined following this tute. It's rectangular rather than square to be used as a child-sized blanket.
The Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK bought in a "Lucy Pack" of 17 assorted colours from Mason's. The total cost for the yarn including postage was £30 but I'd estimate the actual cost of materials to be around £15. No, I won't be making another of these, but I would like some cushion covers and things in these same colours with the remaining bucket full of yarn :)
Ravelry project notes including additional photos can be found here.
And this is what it was really made for, snoozy snuggles after a morning of busy 'kid things'
I think she likes it!
