Enjoying the little things

Life with a 2 year old is pretty amazing. It's perfectly enjoyable to spend the whole day having lots of fun doing, well.... nothing much at all.Tickling each other, blowing raspberries, munching some celery & hummus, dressing up, cwtching, walking to the swings & stopping to look at daisies and pick up leaves, eating apples, laughing (a lot). I read a quote I liked from Robert Brault which said "Enjoy the little things, for one day you will look back and realise they were the big things".

Today I've really enjoyed those little things.

  1. what a good reminder. i try to enjoy all the little things too. it seems like as kids get older it all becomes even faster and "bigger." it is a constant struggle. tonight after dinner, i surprised them with a trip the ice cream parlor - that was simple and made everyone very happy!

  2. What a great quote. That's why I became a SAHM.

  4. So true - My Boy will be 5 in two weeks and it's gone past in the blink of an eye. I'm trying to savour these toddler years this (last) time as they are just so precious.

  5. That quote is absolutely true! I have one daughter, now 22, and seven step children between the ages of 25-36, with so many children between us money was extremely tight, but when I look back on some of the simple things we used to do, it always brings a smile to my face. Enjoy your little ones, the toddler years are just awesome!
